We’ve used a military theme in our catalog and peripheral marketing for many years now. It started before our recent conflicts and we stand by it today. In an effort to share recognition and honor those who are currently serving, we are beginning a new feature to add to next year’s catalog.
If you have a friend or loved one who is, or has, served in our current conflicts (home or abroad), you can submit their photo along with some information for insertion in next year’s catalog. Obviously, we want everyone to look their best and do this right, so here are some details to make this possible...
WHAT WE NEED
We would prefer photos of individuals in uniform, on base, doing their jobs, at their barracks, etc.. In other words, we are trying to capture their daily lives, routines, and operations in the service. We would prefer NO casual home photos.
I need the best quality DIGITAL photo as possible, otherwise, they don't reproduce well in printed form. Don't be shy, send me your highest resolution photos.
We would like to include a small caption for each individual, so please provide a name, rank, branch of service, and their relation to you so we can provide full credit. Feel free to add more information as necessary. Here's a formatted example to work from:
Service Member Name: John Doe
Branch: Marines
Unit: 22nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Batallion
Relation to You: Brother (husband, wife, friend, etc. are also acceptable)
Your Info: Brian Doe
Your Dealership: Doe Brother's Racing
Your Contact Number: (555) 555-5555
You or your service member can submit the photos
HOW TO SUBMIT
Simply click on this email link and send your photos along with the photo details (as shown in the example box above) to:
Since this is a unique feature, its success depends on participation from all of you. If there's not enough participation or the photos submitted are too poor of quality to reproduce cleanly, we may have to shift our direction and presenataion in the final catalog. We have plenty of time, so search your photos, ask your friend or loved one to submit photos, and I'll do my best!
You have until January of 2009 to get all photos submitted for inclusion!
